Initiate
One of the key qualities of recitation coordinators is that they take initiative. We start with these qualities and dive into beginning a recitation event, from coordinating passage selection to recruiting techniques.
Compose
A recitation combines a person, place, and time. The person needs to be prepared, which best done with the help of others. The place needs to be suitable, with space, light, and sound accommodations. And the time needs to fit with the order of worship.
Dynamics & Delivery
The delivery of a recitation is supported by the coordinator to ensure the reciter is cared for. They remove obstacles and confirm that technical considerations like video, light, and sound are prepared. Last minute communications are critical to success.
Team leadership
Leaders band together by encouraging, reminding, and passing along helpful advice to each other. We work through how we can best work as a team. Our goal is that recitation leaders will see how their personal core values fit with their goals of this role.
