By Heart is seeking Christian authors who are experts in one of the books of the Bible. Our goal is to match great writers with the book they most have a passion for and invite them to guide us through how to speak the book aloud.
Each Speaking the Bible study has a unique Activity Guide that explores the unique elements in the book. The goal is to expose the writer’s original intent so reciters understand and can speak their passage accurately. This includes the historical and social context, literary devices, and other aspects of the book that makes speaking it aloud an enlightening and important venture.
Not all authors are teachers. We are looking for those people skilled at writing in a way that instructs; able to turn information into learning.
The process of writing a book is more than writing the book. We love first-time authors but for this project we want folks with experience.
1 Timothy 3:6 applies to church leaders, and we apply the same for authors of our Activities Guides. It is a concern more for the person than it is for our guides.
We'd like authors who are attractive to others of the faith. "For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ"

It would be best to keep drama a safe distance from this Bible study series. In particular, we mean public controversies that can be divisive.
Even people outside of the faith should hold this person in esteem. 1 Timothy 3:7 recommends elders have a good reputation with outsiders.
